This and that

Hi friends! I am taking some time out today to share a few random projects and some journal pages with you! I have to be honest my journal has been a bit neglected but I have gotten back into the swing of things and am feeling super inspired!

I have also been making fun Pocket Letters! I love swapping these you never know what you might receive! The top one was for a Heidi Swapp exchange and the other (which I adore) is for a Marilyn Monroe swap@ So much fun!

For my birthday this year I got Flora Bowley's Intuitive Painting class and let me say I have loved it and am so happy with my first big painting that is finished! So many layers and patterns and randomness that I just love! I HIGHLY suggest her class so if you are considering it just GO for it!
Well that is all for me today, I will have more to share soon! Have a great day!

Summer Frame DIY

Hi friends! Hope you are all having a fabulous day I know I am! I just wanted to share a little project with you that I whipped up the other day! It's super fun and simple and will look fantabulous in anyone's home!
I had this cute frame I bought from Michael's ages ago and finally decided to put it to use! The first thing I did was paint it teal (a favorite color in our house!) I then found some cute Jar stamps and found some of my favorite paper!

I stamped all the papers with my cute Mason Jar stamp also found at Michael's! I cut all 12 of the jars and and simply stung them with some yellow twine! I added some cute letters and a few flowers and voila! So simple and easy and the best part is that I can take the jars off and put a new banner up there at any time!
Well I hope you enjoyed my little project! Are you making anything fun for the summer? Feel free to share below! Have a great day friends!

Altered Clipboard

Hi there! Hope you are having a great day! I am here to share just a fun little tutorial! You can do this project in less than an hour and it is super cute!

I found this cute burlap clipboard at Michael's its made by Tim Holtz and comes with lots of fun embellishments BUT they weren't really my style so I went ahead and made it my own!

I started with the blank burlap clipboard and used this awesome Heidi Swapp stencil with white spray ink!

I also painted the actual clip a metallic black, added some hot pink around the edges and a bit here and there. I used my black stamp pad to add some black around the edge of the clipboard!

I added an inked up flower, some feathers and gems and voila done! I love how it turned out! Well I hope you enjoyed my little project have a great day and happy arting friends!

Canvas Heart Tutorial

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! Today I am sharing a fun little tutorial on how to make this cute heart canvas! Its super fun and easy and will bring a little sparkle to wherever you decide to hang it! Lets get started!

Start out by cutting out a heart shape from your canvas fabric

I then completley  gessoed over the entire heart to stiffen the fabric some and to give me a nice white clean surface

I used some black ink and splattered some accrossed the heart I then added some stamped words to add some extra flare

I used this great flower stencil all over the heart I used my hot pink fluid acrylics mixed with both texture paste and modeling paste so that it was super thick and textured when dry
I used my hot glue gun to add some pretty flowers a gold frame and a pretty gold key! It was super fun and easy to make and I am a bit addicted I have two more in the works as we speak! I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial happy creating friends!

Watercolor Fun

Hi friends! Hope you all are having a great day! I just wanted I stop in and share my page for last weeks Documented Life Challenge! Last weeks challenge was to use watercolors  which I almost never do in my art journal, I have sketchbooks full of watercolor doodles but I never really crossover! I decided to play with my distress ink stamp pads and use them for a more vibrant watercolor! I used pink purple and teal (one of my favorite color combos)

I added some heavy body acrylics for some texture and used these awesome Heidi Swapp stamps I got at a garage sale (for a 1.00$!!!) I added some gold striped tissue paper, pops of gold with an oil stick and then doodled some fun drops with a sharpie!

Last was the writing and well I love this quote so I went for it! I wish you could see how sparkly it is and all the fun drops and drips! I really had fun and just let go! Who knows I may create some more back grounds like this! Well that's all from
Me today! Break out the watercolors and try something new riends!

Mixed Media Fabric Cuff Bracelet

Hello friends! Today I am here with a super easy and fun tutorial! Its a fun fabric cuff that you can put together in less than fifteen minutes! So easy and super cute in no time at all! Let's get started!

Here's what you'll need:
Fabric
Empty Tape Roll
Ribbon
Hot Glue
Pendant

So I have been a bit of a hoarder and have been saving these empty duct tape rolls AND my hand painted fabric for forever! Well I decided it was time to put them to good use!

Start but cutting a strip of your fabric about an inch to an inch and a half wide

Grab your tape roll and start on the inside with a bit of hot glue

Start wrapping the cuff, only gluing every other strip on the inside of the cuff

Grab some ribbon and glue around the cuff, leaving a bit of a tail, tie in a knot, adding a dot of glue to the center of knot so it stays together. Trim and fray check your ribbon.

Add your pendant with some glue and you are done! Super simple!
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial, its a great way to wear your art and add some fun to any outfit! What are some ways you enjoy wearing your art? The possibilities are endless! Questions? Comments? Feel free to Comment below! Happy Crafting!!!

Mixed Media Bow Garland

Hello Fiends! Well if you know me at all you know I collect paper like its going out of style, especially random painted papers! So I decided to raid my stash and make a cute bow garland to brighten up my craft space!

I grabbed some random papers and used my Silhouette to cut out the bows. Don't have a die cutting machine? No worries, I will link to an awesome printable template at the end of this post!

I just used some glue dots and put together all my bows, I then decided to add a pop of neon with some of my grandmothers handwriting papers that I just simply copied onto scrapbook paper!

I have a specific "glue gun tray" that I used to keep from destroying my desk! I simply just added a dot of hot glue to the center back of the bows, keeping the spacing somewhat in mind.

I added some hot pink distress ink to the edges of the bows to give them a little pop of color and then it was time to hang it up on my dresser! I just used some glue dots to keep everything in place!

Super cute, easy and fun! Here is a bow template that you can print at use at home! Here and here is the link to the cut files I used as well! I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial, happy crafting friends!
